Ahmadreza Talebian is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Transportation Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology (IUT). Ahmadreza received his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2016, M.Sc. in Transportation Planning from Sharif University of Technology in 2010, and B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from IUT in 2008. Prior to joining IUT, Ahmadreza was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Memphis in Aug 2016-Jan 2019 and a Postdoctoral Associate at UIC in May 2016-Aug 2016.

Ahmadreza is excited about  many innovative technologies that are emerging and reshaping how humans and things move, and has been actively exploring how data-driven modeling and optimization, and big data and predictive analytics can inform decision making in transportation. Ahmadreza is a member of Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Public Transportation Planning and Development (AP025). He also serves as a reviewer in multiple leading journals of transportation field including Transportation Research Part B: Methodological, Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies, Transportation Research Parts E: Logistics and Transportation Review, and ASCE Journal of Infrastructure Systems.
